As one of the first and most outspoken women to call out Harvey Weinstein for sexual misconduct, actress, artist, and activist Rose McGowan quickly became one of the most notable faces of the #MeToo movement. She joined fellow survivors in being honored as Time‘s “Person of the Year”, spoke at the Women’s Convention in Detroit, and hasn’t minced words about the myriad ways in which Hollywood has long made it possible for men like Weinstein to exist. And now, she’ll star in a five-part documentary series for E! titled Citizen Rose that will follow her in the days leading up to the release of her hotly anticipated memoir, BRAVE. Both the book and the first episode will debut on January 30 to what’s likely to be plenty of both commendations and controversy.

McGowan will serve as a producer on the doc, which, according to E!, “describes McGowan’s world: the art, the #ROSEARMY, her special punk brand of activism and the music she makes to heal.”

“You are formally invited into my mind and world. I am thrilled to partner with E! to amplify my message of bravery, art, joy and survival,” McGowan said in a statement published on E! News. “As I ready my book, BRAVE, I realized I wanted to show how we can heal through art even when being hounded by evil. I want to have a conversation with everyone, and most especially, you, about looking at things differently and seeing beauty everywhere. E!’s tremendous reach and impressive platform allow me to globally communicate the importance of living a BRAVE life.”

The series will kick off with a two-hour premiere, while the four following episodes aren’t slated to run until the spring. But it’s safe to say that, especially as far as reality shows go, Citizen Rose will be groundbreaking stuff.
